Contact

What is the process after contacting you?

After making contact for the first time I will get in touch with you. We can then arrange to have a free of charge 15 minute phone or video call to establish why you would like to undertake counselling and what your goals may be.

How many sessions will I need?

This can vary from person to person. Some people may only need a few sessions to work through a particular problem, whereas others may require medium to long term counselling. Ultimately, the decision when to finish is up to you.

How often are sessions?

Weekly sessions are recommended. This helps build the relationship in counselling and can help with keeping progress going that you have made. However, this is not always possible for all people, for a number of reasons. Particularly financial ones. The frequency of sessions is your decision. This can be discussed prior to the first session.

What happens in the first session?

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and how I can support you. There’s no pressure — it’s simply a space to explore what’s next.

Can I choose between online or in-person therapy?

Absolutely. Some clients prefer the comfort and flexibility of online sessions, while others value in-person connection. You’re free to choose what feels best for you — and we can switch if needed.

Do you work with people from all backgrounds?

Yes. I welcome and respect couples of all backgrounds, sexualities, faiths (or none), and identities.
